In Kabbalah, purpose and connection are essential. According to this ancient wisdom, every person is created with the desire and purpose to grow, by receiving, giving, connecting, and understanding.

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           When we give meaningful expression to this purpose, we can achieve fulfillment and continue developing ourselves.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           This is important to remember: in Kabbalah, all experiences have a meaning and a higher purpose. This not only brings a sense of peace, but also an increased awareness that allows individual experiences to be placed in a broader, more meaningful context.

           What do essential oils do?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Essential oils often have a lovely scent, but that's not all they do. They influence the limbic system in the brain—the part that regulates emotions and memories. Essential oils as alternative healing– are supportive tools that affect the Nervous System contributing to the psychotherapeutic process that words alone may not reach. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Clinical studies show essential oils as a complementary way to support mental and emotional health.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The use of essential oils can happen in different ways. They can be inhaled, which activates the limbic system as quickly as possible. They can also be absorbed through the skin, often during a massage, to perform their healing work. In a holistic approach, essential oils are used in other ways as well, primarily to promote mental and physical well-being.

      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;

           Different essential oils, each with its own effect
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           There are various essential oils that can be used with transpersonal councelling. The complete list is too long to include here, but to give you an idea, I've selected a few. Lavender oil, for example, is well-known for helping with stress, sleep issues, and fear. Chamomile oil falls into the same category but also provides a sense of calm.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Ylang-ylang is less common and is used to dampen feelings of anger, a purpose also served by nutmeg oil. Bergamot oil is another lesser-known oil that provides an uplifting feeling and reduces fear, anger and worryness.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            It's crucial that the correct essential oils are used based on the specific problems that need to be processed or addressed.            What is trauma?

           Trauma is a wound that goes through all the layers of the Being: the physical body, the mind, the emotions and the Soul. Sometimes it produces unbearable noticeable pain, but sometimes it can be asleep and the person can feel resolved. However, undoubtedly the person feels that something is wrong in her life, since she finds him/herself in recurring conflicts with herself or in relationships with family, work or life in general.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           A trauma has deep roots, which direct our decisions and the way we carry out our lives. Those decisions can be very positive and constructive, but most of the time they tend to be negative and destructive: such as choosing toxic relationships, substance addiction, self-sabotage, low self-esteem, emotional impulsiveness, etc.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

           How is trauma manifested in a person's life?
          &#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           In conflict situations, traumatized people feel powerless to resolve the situation. They may experience fear, and alienation or the person may become hardened and reticent. Traumatized people avoid situations in life that may be related to the experienced trauma, this changes behavior, thinking and acting. Some people avoid places, thoughts, feelings, conversations, etc. Others avoid close emotional contact and suffer from feelings of guilt and helplessness.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           When a trauma has not been healed, it can even lead to physical illness whose root is difficult to trace.

            Psychological treatments are now very logical and normal. Yet it was only at the end of the 19th century that psychological treatments were carried out for the first time in the Netherlands. A little later, at the beginning of the 20th century, the offer was limited to psychoanalysis. It was performed by psychiatrists in private practice and were reserved for a small elite of affluent patients. This met with criticism from other psychiatrists. They wanted to make psychotherapy accessible to the general population. This led in 1930 to the Dutch Association for Psychotherapy, and in 1940 to the Institute for Medical Psychotherapy.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            ﻿
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           It was not until almost fifty years later, in 1986, that the profession of psychotherapist was recognized by law in the Netherlands. The Individual Health Care Professions Act (BIG) regulates the training and professional activity of health professions in the Netherlands. Therapists must have a BIG registration to be able to perform their profession. But only therapists who have been trained according to the BIG requirements are admitted to the BIG register and all they are allowed to call themselves psychotherapists and perform the profession under the name 'psychotherapist'.
            &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;

           First-line psychologists
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           A form that occurs almost exclusively in the Netherlands are the first-line psychologists. First-line psychologists are trained according to state guidelines. They must be certified and registered. They should only diagnose and treat mild cases. If a patient falls outside the care field of the primary care psychologist, a referral to a psychotherapist or psychiatrist follows. First-line psychologists are a first, low-threshold point of contact and often work together with a general practitioner or company doctor. The field of care of the primary care psychologist consists of treating common problems such as complicated grief, pain without physical findings, sleep disorders or anxiety.
            &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;

            Under the name 'psychotherapist', around 5,000 therapists work in the Netherlands who offer a wide range of therapies, including: client-oriented therapy, relationship and family therapy, problem-solving training, short-term therapies, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, psychoanalysis, and psychodynamic procedures.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            For people who need psychological care or want to turn to psychological care, the care is structured according to a trajectory:
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            In case of complaints, people can first turn to the general practitioner, the company doctor or a first-line psychologist.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Mild to moderate psychological problems fall under the basic mental health care. This can consist of: Conversations with, among others, a psychologist, psychotherapist, or psychiatrist.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            ﻿
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Serious complaints psychological complaints and psychiatric disorders that fall under the care of psychiatrists.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           In addition, people are of course always free to visit a free therapist themselves, but this care is not always reimbursed.

           My practice is focused on transpersonal therapy. My therapeutic approach is integrative, creative, and expansive. I use techniques such as deep analysis of subjective identity, analysis of dreams, dance-art-play therapy, Jungian archetypal symbology, breathing/relaxation techniques, and therapeutic meditation.

            As the largest professional organization in the alternative field, CAT has a responsibility in guaranteeing quality and in structuring the alternative sector. For this recognition, a therapist must at least meet the Profile Reimbursable CAT therapists so that the treatments are partially eligible for reimbursement from the additional package of the health insurers.

      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           Dance of the Soul is accessible to people of any age, regardless their physical condition. It can be practiced both individually, or in a group. Group work offers a series of sessions (e.g., 10) on a specific topic. There is no choreography to follow. A person dances with himself, within a safe and supportive setting.
          &#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           I got my bachelor's degree in psychology and a degree in psychotherapy at the University of Science and Information of Santiago Chile in the year 2000.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
            I immediately began my professional practice at a psychiatric hospital in the City of Talca Chile.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
            
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
            But after a couple of years of working with clinical cases I realised that clinical psychotherapeutic techniques learnt at University were not enough to help patients to overcome their mental struggles or psychological disorders.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
            
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
            It was then when I decided to move to London (2006) where I found the School of Kabbalah. A school of mysticism and human development where I received teachings on transpersonal psychology and mystical understanding of human nature.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
            
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
            Those years of study radically changed my therapeutic approach, which further was enriched by studies at several schools of mysticism and transpersonal psychology in England, Canada, Ireland, Spain, Perú, Chile and The Netherlands.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
            
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
            However the intense training and experience that I've got are different from that promoted by BIG (Professions in Individual Health Care). Therefore, as you now understand, I cannot call myself a psychologist or psychotherapist in The Netherlands without the BIG-registration.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

On a physical level, dance therapy helps to release stress, relax, change moods, and enrich the daily experience with not "intellectual or mental" elements, but physical, emotional, and spiritual.

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

           In general, dance therapy is liberating and good for both physical and mental health. Dance movement therapy is especially useful if you want to achieve stress reduction. In addition, the physical component of DMT provides increased muscle strength, coordination, mobility, and reduced muscle tone and thus promotes physical health. In general, dance therapy promotes self-awareness, self-esteem, and a sense of security and freedom is experienced to express feelings and emotions from movement.
           &#xD;

           Body and mind are connected and they influence each other.  Movement generates body awareness and with it an integration of body-mind-spirit is promoted and encouraged. Aspects of the personality and elements of a trauma are manifested in the body through unconscious processes, creating psycho-emotional blockages. Dance of the Soul is a powerful tool for the healing of those blockages. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           Through conscious movement a person reconnects with her body, learning to breathe, and listening to feelings, emotions and sensations awakened by the music. Dance movement technique mobilizes, channels and transmutes psycho-emotional complexes using spontaneous and non-stereotyped movement. So the body becomes a vehicle for psycho-emotional transformation; increasing body awareness, managing and expressing emotions, and strengthening integration of body-mind-spirit.

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           Dance movement therapy that I teach is a personal combination of different forms of dance and movement that I have come to know and practice as a therapist during my life. It is a unique mix that I have called Dance of the Soul.

           The term “transpersonal” was first used in the year 1905 by Williams James and means to experience beyond (trans) the sense of Ego.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            ﻿
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Transpersonal Psychology has its roots in the humanistic psychology movement of the 1950s and 60s and was first popularized by the American psychologists Abraham Maslow (1908-1970) and Carl R. Rogers (1902-1987), both of them influenced by the extraordinary work done by the Swiss analyst Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961). In this century Freudian Psychoanalysis and Behaviourism were dominating the scientific and therapeutic field, in which the focus of therapy was mainly on observable and rational aspects of human mind. The leaders of the humanistic movement criticized that the current school of psychology left out some unique human qualities such as spirituality, creativity and art. Therefore, they integrated alternative methods such as extreme non-ordinary (trance) states of consciousness and art into therapy.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           As a subfield of psychology, Transpersonal Psychology integrates the transcendent and spiritual aspects of human experience and draws a more holistic perspective of Self - development. The integrative approach goes beyond conventional methods with the central aim of supporting the individual development of each person such as understanding the Self beyond the Ego mind identity. In the transpersonal therapeutic process, a variety of different techniques such as meditation, visualisation, and imaging, systemic trance, art- therapy and dream analysis, among others, are used. During this journey the therapist leads the person-patient to get to know the unconscious parts of the Self, until they are conscious and available to be acknowledged.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           Aspects of human consciousness according to Ken Wilber include dimensions of the Body, the Mind, the Soul and the Spirit as integrative aspects of the Human Self.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Going through this transformative development of the personality, the patient learns to understand his/her beliefs and sense of self, and create a healthy relationship with his/her self.... therefore with his/her social environment. In contrast to other therapies, Transpersonal therapy does not make use of clinical diagnostics but tries to understand personal crises as part of life, which can help us learn and find new meanings to our Life/Soul Journey.

           In transpersonal psychology, there is not only one way of psychological thinking that has been accepted. Instead, everything that belongs to the human mind and spirit is studied and explored. To come to your individual full potential many different disciplines can be involved in the transpersonal psychology therapy, such as: philosophy, health theories, art therapy, social theory, cognitive science, and various spiritual aspects.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Transpersonal psychology may coexist with traditional psychology programs but as you can see, it is much broader. Mindfulness, mindfulness meditation, but also dance therapy and therapeutic meditation and breathwork and play therapy and therapy that involves working with guided images and visualizations are examples of therapies that are becoming increasingly popular as a subfield within transpersonal psychology.
